As Chairman of the Carroll County Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, B. P. “Phil” Hawks, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at Lambsburg Community Center, 130 Learning Ln., Lambsburg, Virginia 24351, starting at 6:00 p.m. local time on May 22, 2025, for the following purpose:

Electing a Carroll County Republican Committee Chairman.

Qualifications for Participation

All legal and qualified voters of Carroll County under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin, or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing elections, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions, or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

Filing Requirements

Candidates for election or nomination shall file the Candidate Application Form, which must be received not later than May 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., as follows: (1) in-person delivery to Committee Secretary Michele Dixon at the above-listed Mass Meeting location; (2) in-person delivery to Committee Secretary Michele Dixon during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, at 235 Farmers Market Drive, Hillsville, Virginia 24343; or (3) to Committee Secretary Michele Dixon via e-mail at logmall235@gmail.com.

No nominations shall be accepted from the floor.

No filing fee is required.

Participant Check-in

Mass Meeting check-in shall begin at 5:00 p.m. and shall conclude at 6:00 p.m. All participants shall be required to provide proof of identity in the form of a valid government or employer-issued photo ID, or by signing an affidavit of identity.

Amendment of Agenda

Should no more than one candidate file for Carroll County Republican Committee Chairman, the mass meeting agenda may be amended by the Chairman and the candidate will be considered elected.

Publication

Publication of this Official Call, and all registration and application forms, shall be posted on the Republican Party of Virginia website at www.virginia.gop and the Carroll County Republican Committee website at www.carrollvagop.org.
