I, Adam L. Tolbert, as Chairman of the Ninth Congressional District Committee of the Republican Party of Virginia and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the District Committee, do hereby issue this Call for a District Convention to be held at George Wythe High School, #1 Maroon Way, Wytheville, Virginia, 24382, or its alternative site, starting at 10:00 AM (with registration opening at 8:00 AM) on Saturday, April 9, 2016, for the following purposes:
a) Electing a District Chairman of the Ninth Congressional District Republican Committee;
b) Electing three (3) members of the State Central Committee;
c) Electing three (3) delegates and three (3) alternate delegates to the 2016 Republican National Convention to be held at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, or its alternate site from July 18 – 21, 2016;
d) Nominating one (1) Elector from the Ninth Congressional District of Virginia to serve in the 2016 Electoral College; and
e) For the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention.
